It’s hard to explain how much I loved photographing Lucy & Tom’s wedding. All I can say is that I’m so lucky to have clients like them and I look back with nothing but fond memories.
They chose the church in their local village of Cadbury here in Devon, then headed back to the family home for the wedding reception in a marquee in the garden, and it really was the most amazing marquee, complete with cream carpet, fairy lights and reveal curtain for the first dance – stunning! It was also dressed beautifully with flowers from florist Rachel King and lots of other handmade trimmings that Lucy had put together herself. Yvonne of Cherry Blossom also created the most divine masterpeice with her lace-themed cake. Last but not least, any wedding that incorporates Percy Pigs gets my vote!
Claire Mathers and Tereza H did an amazing job on the hair and makeup – everyone looked so elegant. Lucy’s dress was a stunning Kate Sherford number from Sassi Holford‘s Taunton boutique, coincidentally from the same boutique as Elly’s in my previous blog post! Lucy fell in love with the Gina shoes and knew that she HAD to have them, so she opted for a more classic pair during the day then switched to the crystal Ginas for the dancing – perfect!
Ben Ford‘s horses did an amazing job pulling the carriage up an incredibly steep hill and got Lucy to the church in one piece (she was a little worried about the hill!).
Thanks so much to Lucy & Tom’s friends and families for being so warm and such such good fun, it really does make the job amazing.
