Hannah & James’ wedding this summer was absolutely stunning. The day began at the family home in a village near Crediton then the ceremony took place in the rather grand church of Crediton. I stayed with the girls whilst Chloe headed off to meet the guys at the church. Hannah’s parents had also married here and many family occasions had been celebrated there so it felt all the more special and significant as a venue.
We then drove across the moor to Bovey Castle where the reception took place. Coincidentally we had also been photographing a wedding the weekend previously so it felt wonderfully familiar to us. There are so many stunning spots to photograph at Bovey Castle, so the challenge was picking a few out and sticking to those. Federico was so accomodating and drove us around on a golf buggy to maximise Hannah and James’ time and energy. We were so lucky and managed to dodge the showers, and I love the way the sky is half blue, half grey in a diagonal line in many of the photographs as it really sums of weather that day! The variety of places to photograph both indoor and outdoors at Bovey Castle offers so much contrast – a real photographer’s dream.
Hannah & James, it was such a wonderful day, here are a few shots as a reminder. Thanks also to all the family and friends who were so much fun to photograph and spend the day with.
