Sarah & Alex undoubtedly managed to choose the best day of British ‘summer’ for their wedding this year. Uninterrupted blue skies and a warm coastal breeze. It was the most stunning day, starting off at Dartmouth Naval College for the ceremony, then a boat trip up the river Dart to Dittisham where the reception took place at Gurrow Point. The views overlooking the Dart from here were incredible and a photographer’s dream. What with Sarah & Alex’s love of boats and sailing and also Alex’s naval link it really was such a great reflection of them both. I loved the casual vibe that they went for, with guests feeling so relaxed and involved in the day. They were all given mini bottles of bubbly to sip with straws during the boat trip and a basket in which to swap their heels for the flats during the trip – perfect!
Thanks to Chloe for second shooting; Alex opted for shots pre-ceremony whilst getting ready and then onto the pub in Dartmouth. Meanwhile, I stayed with Sarah her family & the girls for preening and pre-ceremony drinks.
Below are a small selection of photos of the day – for those of you in the UK with all the torrential rain at the moment.. enjoy the blue skies!
