This evening I’m happy to blog another beautiful wedding from this summer. Now that it’s slightly calmer I’m aiming to blog at least once a day to share all the hard work from this year, plus the fabulous people and occasions that have of course come with it.
Back in July we shot the wonderful wedding of Ellen & Jon here in Devon. I headed over to Ellen’s parents’ house for pre-ceremony photos whilst Chloe joined Jon and his Best Man at his parents’ place in Shaldon overlooking the estuary. Ellen and Jon chose to hold their ceremony at Bickington Church (with the ceremony itself led by Jon’s Father), then headed over to one of my favourite local venues The Great Barn nestled in the Teign Valley. There were so many wonderful personal touches throughout the day… look out for the unicorn (Ellen’s wish as a little girl to have unicorns at her wedding..) and all the chefs (aka guests) carving the beef at table. Lots of laughter and guests being involved in the day which was fantastic. Anyway, I will let the photos tell the story of the day, so here’s a small selection to give you an idea.
Jon & Ellen it was amazing getting to know you and to be a part of it.
Thank you to Chloe for second shooting and being as good a companion as ever. Thanks also to John and Emma at The Great Barn for making us feel so welcome there as always (especially allowing me to take the group shot out of your bedroom window – much appreciated!) As always it would be great to hear your thoughts in the comments section below x
